This course aims at getting to know a specialized medical-surgical discipline which presents, in daily practice, multiple interactions with other medical-surgical sectors such as maxillofacial surgery, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, orthopedics and neurology , and fields of pathologies affecting the organism as a whole. At the end of the course the student must: - Know the most frequent odontostomatological diseases with the main therapeutic addresses; Knowing how to diagnose the most frequent odontostomatological diseases; Be aware of which diseases you will be able to deal with as a non-specialist doctor and which ones will require the specialist's intervention.
Aim of the Course is to provide all the essential informations the students need about this branch of Medicine, whatever the future specialization. The Course is set up to provide data for effectively diagnose and manage a comprehensive range of ophthalmic disorders, in some cases useful in the diagnosis of systemic diseases. A concise format makes it easy to quickly learn and understand the "must-know" aspects of each condition from a clinical and therapeutical point of view, especially focusing on the most important diseases, owing to their epidemiology and clinics.
Knowledge of the notions of specialist anatomy-physiology and of the main pathologies of the ear, nose and paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx and salivary glands.
