Ability in constructing 2D geometries by using surface and subsurface data and drawing geological cross-sections.
The course consists of 42 hours lectures integrated with 36 hours of practical activities dedicated to achievement of abilities in the application of the acquired knowledge
Topic 1: criteria and methods for reconstructing the 3D geometries of rock bodies; ability in costructing basic geological cross-sections
Topic 2: study and analysis of the sedimentary process and of the sedimentary rocks; ability and competence in recognizing and classifying sedimentary rocks
Topic 3: competence in interpreting the paleogeographic and paleotectonic significance of stratigraphic successions
Topic 4: competence in recognising and descibing tectonic structures; ability in constructing geological sections reproducing complex contexts.
