Learning Objectives

NEUROPSICOFARMACOLOGIA
Pinciples of drug action, mechanisms and kinetics of drugs , side effects and drug toxicity , individual variability in the response to drugs, inflammatory mediators and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesia, opiates, anesthetics, control of muscle spasticity with central, peripheral and direct drugs, the central dopaminergic system and motor control, Parkinson’s disease and anti-parkinsonian drugs, efficacy, side effects of longterm therapy with Levo Dopa, epilepsy and antiepileptic drugs

Provide students with the elements for the correct collection of anamnestic data.

Methodology applied to the diagnosis of site and to the diagnosis of nature in Neurology.

Chronopathology of Neurological Diseases.

To provide students with the basic epidemiological and clinical elements for the diagnostic formulation of the main neurological diseases of the central nervous system and of the peripheral nervous system and of the diseases of the muscles.

Provide students with the elements of rehabilitation within the nervous system, central and peripheral.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The aims of this course is to illustrate the diseases (degenerative, autoimmune and traumatic) of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. The principal goal is to illustrate the principles of functional rehabilitation and the enhancement of residual abilities.

Course objectives:
1. understand the methods and assumptions of neurophysiological neurological rehabilitation
2. understand the main theories of the movement and recovery that are the basis of the different therapeutic approaches to cognitive rehabilitation
3. raise awareness of the main tools available to the Re-Enabler to guide recovery

Course Structure

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the central nervous system, of the peripheral nervous system and of the musculoskeletal system.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Notions of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of the central and Peripheral nervous system and of the muscular system. The analysis of neurological signs - diagnosis of the site. Analysis of symptoms in neurology - diagnosis of nature. Chronopathology of neurological diseases. Neurodegenerative diseases. Inflammatory diseases. Hereditary diseases. Peripheral nerve disease. Diseases of the muscles. Epilepsy. Headache Coma. Disturbances of consciousness. Cerebro-vascular diseases.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Neurological pathologies of the developmental age (PCI) and principles of rehabilitation; CNS disorders and rehabilitation principles; PNS disorders and rehabilitation principles; Instrumental therapy and EBM; Autoimmune disorders and principles of rehabilitation treatment; Functional Evaluation Scales; Usefulness of neurophysiology techniques in rehabilitation. Self-rehabilitation in spastic paresis.
