History of French Language

We will define the language reflection during the Eighteenth century.

We will then examine modern and contemporary French language peculiarities.

We will examine the Eighteenth Century language, from the Encyclopédie, Les Liaisons dangereuses by Laclos, Le Mariage de Figaro by Beaumarchais, Monvel’s revolutionary theatre and Le père Duchesne by Hébert. We will then define the rhetoric of French and francophone modern and contemporary literature.
