The course aims to provide students with the knowledge necessary to understand the fundamentals and main tasks of Sociology, in light of the thinking of its members and its most significant processes.
In the first part of the course, we will offer a basic knowledge of theoretical-empirical reflections and acquisitions, in relation to the different aspects of contemporary reality, in order to identify the specific contribution of this discipline in characterizing the structural dynamics and the processes of change that they cross and qualify society. The essential elements for accessing the basic language of Sociology will also be provided, understood not only as a science of modern society, but also as a shared social culture, capable of connecting private issues and public problems and today necessary to identify and manage in a manner competent aspects of structure and system of the daily activities of institutions and individuals.
In the second part – through the main theoretical-methodological approaches – the student will be introduced to the knowledge of the phenomena and work-organizational dynamics, trying to understand the nature, characteristics and relationships with the current social context and making the appropriate links with the organization of work in the health sector.
The last part will be dedicated to Sociology of Health. The reasons that motivate a sociological attention to the themes of health and illness will be illustrated first. A review of the care relationships will follow, with particular attention to the communicative relationship between healthcare personnel and patients.
The aims of this course is to illustrate the diseases (degenerative, autoimmune and traumatic) of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. The principal goal is to illustrate the principles of functional rehabilitation and the enhancement of residual abilities.
The aim is to provide the knowledge of the main musculoskeletal diseases of orthopedic and traumatology. The course provides knowledge regarding common orthopedic and traumatological diseases in physical and sports activities, related to their impact on the planning, organization, and management of motor activities, in relation to the various ages : from thepediatric age to the elderly.
The teaching activity will be articulated through lectures, with the help of concept maps, theories and the most important sociological institutes. The students' interventions will have been given ample space.

The relationship between health workers and patients and the phenomenon of Supply Induced Demand (S.I.D.). The paradigm of Sociology of Health explained by Microsociological Theories. Clinical sociology (definition and outline). Communication: the elements and systems of communication. Communication strategies in the relationship between healthcare personnel and patients.
Degenerative and traumatic diseases of the spine and rehabilitation; disorders of the CNS and rehabilitation; pathologies of the SNP and rehabilitation; instrumental therapy and EBM; rheumatic disease and rehabilitation treatment; traumatic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system and rehabilitation treatment; functional assessment scales; utilities of the neurophysiological technique in rehabilitation; self-rehabilitation of spastic paresis.
The course is based on the main orthopaedic and traumatologic disorders, highlighting: epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, imaging investigations, differential diagnosis, prognosis, complications, conservative and surgical treatment.
