Learning Objectives

Pediatric dentistry
The educational goal is to provide students with a full understanding of the many diseases of the oral cavity that occur in children , the correct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures .

At the end of the course students will know the correct psychological approach to the dental patient in childhood , concepts of embryology and growth of the stomatognathic in their implications with malformations of the jaw , dental abnormalities , malocclusions ; They will also have to learn how to diagnose and treat dental caries and its complications , the bad habits , the common stomatomucositi and disorders of the temporomandibular joints .

Outline of Embryology and craniofacial growth. Development and morphology of the teeth and jaws. Period and order of tooth eruption Psychological approach to the dental patient in childhood. Nutrition and oral health. Examination of the mouth and related structures: history and physical examination. Imaging techniques - x-ray examinations.
