Organization of a diagnostic pathway on a clinical, instrumental, laboratory basis
Knowledge of therapeutic aspects of Infectious diseases drugs with main reference to antibiotics management
Professionalising training must develop the theoretical-practical knowledge and skills related to the care activity in the field of Digestive, Liver, Biliary-Pancreatic and Nutrition Diseases and their implications in terms of instrumental diagnostic, clinical and medical therapy. The clinical methodology and the pharmacological and instrumental therapy of diseases of the digestive system, of the liver, of the biliary tract and of the pancreas are specific areas of expertise.
Choice of the gastroenterological clinical case present in the inpatient ward; analysis and discussion regarding laboratory parameters and any instrumental tests performed during hospitalization, useful for the diagnosis formulation; physical examination of the patient with application of the main semeiological maneuvers; a brief oral presentation of what was noticed during the physical examination of the patient by the student; reasoned proposals for continuation of the investigations; proposals for medical and pharmacological therapy.
Basic elements of clinical microbiology and pathogenesis of infectious diseases (direct or immune mediated mechanisms), geographic and social impact, modes of transmission, clinical features, diagnostic and therapeutic pathways .
The Professionalising Trainership of Gastroentrology will provide the student with a practical and up-to-date summary of the main diseases of the digestive tract, liver, biliary tract and pancreas related to their etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology, diagnosis and simple knowledge of drug therapy. Professionalising training also aims to initiate a process of critical maturation of the knowledge of diagnostic options applicable to diseases of gastroenterological relevance.
