The theoretical/practical course is designed to acquaint students with the medical record-charts of general surgery, to learn them what are the medical history to investigate the patients, the symptoms to program the hematologic and instrumental diagnostics. This course also helps students to understand the medical data to make a reliable diagnosis before surgery. Compulsory attendance in formal education, tutorial in semiological maneuvers on the inpatients in the department or during the ambulatory visit, view of interventions in the operating room.
the program requires the student the knowledge of the most important diseases and of the medical record-charts of general surgery. -Disorders of the neck, such as thyroglossal and branchiogenic cysts and fistulas -Inflammatory diseases of the thyroid, hyperthyroidism, benign and malignant neoplasms -Parotid and submandibular glands diseases -Gastro-oesophageal reflux, Achalasia, gastric and duodenal ulcers; oesophageal and gastric carcinoma. Gallstones with complications. Pancreatitis and pancreatic carcinoma. Intestinal diseases: acute and chronic appendicitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), colic diverticulosis and diverticulitis. Colorectal carcinoma. Abdominal wall: hernias and laparocele. Small and non-small lung carcinoma, Breast cancer.
