The main purpose of this lessons’ course is to give students the basics concerning both the main type of cancer of the digestive tract and the non-oncological more frequent pathologies, such as: • the abdominal defect walls (5% of the population is affected from a groin hernia); • gastro-oesophageal reflux (symptoms in 7-8% of the population); • common bile duct stones (main cause of jaundice and pancreatitis especially in southern Italy); Special care will also be given to the pathology of the breast cancer whose treatment has changed over the last decade. During the course the teacher’s effort will be, as far as possible, treat the practical aspect of the disease treated.
To know the relationship between psycho-affective profile and cardiovascular diseases, between cardiovascular diseases and psycho-somatic sphere, as well as the possible effects of antidepressive and / or anxiolytic treatment on disease outcomes.
