Learning Objectives

The subject examines major orientations, concepts and themes. In particular, the course focuses on the current shift from classical sociology to contemporary sociological approaches and studies.

Main issues will be structured in three sections: sociological concepts and themes; culture and social dynamics; deviance and collective action.



Detailed Course Content

Basic topics: - Introduction to the discipline; Object, method, objectives of research in sociology of cultural processes; Concepts, dimensions, theories and approaches to cultural processes.

Monographic topics: Authors and themes of the first Italian sociology for cultural processes; Authors and contemporary themes for communicative dynamics.
