This module explores the reproductive modalities in vegetables, mainly in higher plants (Spermatophytes), sexual features, environmental influences on the transition from the vegetative state to the reproductive one, apomixis and its adaptive and applicative meaning.
1. Reproduction in plants: meaning and modalities of implementation. Morphology and structure of reproductive systems in water and land plants. 2. Reproductive barriers and self incompatibility. Apomixis and its adaptive significance. 3. Sexuality in plants. Sexual expression and sex determination. 4. The influence of environmental conditions on reproductive processes. 5. Pollination mechanisms and reproductive strategies of flowering plants . 6. Dispersing and dissemination processes. Seed germination.
