To provide the basic concepts of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy through the study of the body's transmitter systems, the mechanism of action of the various classes of molecular and cellular drugs, their therapeutic uses and major side effects.
The discipline has the aim of training specific professional skills for the knowledge and study of the drug experimentally preclinical and humans; studying the mechanism of action of natural, synthetic and biotechnological drugs,; deals with appropriate methodologies for the assessment of the effects of the drugs, the identification and assessment of adverse reactions; also assess the risk / benefit ratio of therapeutic interventions
