Learning Objectives

Provide students with the coordinates to understand the basics of law and legal systems. In particular, it will highlight the close connections between the "Constitution of Rights" and the "Constitution of powers" through the study of the principles in the field of social legislation, with particular attention to the protection of the worker. In this framework, we will also address the study of the major reforms in social security and social assistance.



Detailed Course Content

PART A. LAW OF SOCIAL SERVICES

 

Social services and welfare model outlined by the Italian Constitution and legislation,
particular regard to the law n. 328/2000. - The basic level of social assistance. -Types of social benefits.


PART B. LAW OF SOCIAL SECURITY

 

The evolution of social security. - The legal system of social security. - The report contributory. - Social security law. - The protection against accidents at work and occupational diseases. - The protection of invalidity, old age and survivors. - The protection of health.- The protection against involuntary unemployment, the allowance for the family. - Interventions and social services to tackle poverty and the risk of social marginalization. - The protection of the rights of individuals protected.

 

The examination of the latest regulatory updates will be done in the classroom.
