Students must have already taken General Sociology. attendance of lessons is not compulsory.
The course aims to investigate the processes of construction, definition and treatment of deviance by control agencies, social theorists, media and public opinion. In particular, the different theories developed for understanding the phenomena of deviance will be addressed in a sociological perspective (ie different from psychiatric or criminological ones in the strict sense) and aimed at social workers.
