Learning Objectives

To develop communication skills by using integrated methods corresponding to the B2 levels of the Common European Framework through the use of realia (paper, audio, video).

To introduce and to analyze the different types of text for a presentation of progressive specificity of the discourse; To introduce the main theories of translation in order to develop an awareness on the practice of translation with the help of contrastive approaches.

Detailed Course Content

A (4 ECTS) - Phonetics, morphosyntax, the study of the Main irregular verbs and regular verbs, Tutorials receptive and productive skills (written and oral) of different types in order to reach the B2 level.

B (2 ECTS) Considerations on the translation: theories and practices through contrastive examples and exercises of graded difficulty.
