To prepare the student to the concepts of specific determinants of health and illness and to the evaluation and management of different types of risk; to provide the basis for epidemiology and prevention.
To develop statistical and methodological abilities applied to the analysis of biological/biomedical events. To develop abilities to apply the principal tools of statistical data collection, measurement and analysis.
The course includes lectures in which continuous interaction with the students is encouraged, and exercises in the classroom and in the laboratory to develop the ability to apply the knowledge acquired during the course.
Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
Learning assessment may also be carried out online, if the conditions will require it.
