The course is aimed at explaining the main themes of clinical psychology an in-depth analysis of theoretical models and specific evaluation and operational methods. As far as disorders are concerned, we will outline the biological, environmental and relational aspects from an evolutionary and biopsychosocial perspective.
The course is intended to provide students with specific knowledge on individual contextual and cultural aspects of psychopathology in children, as well as illustrate the risk and protection factors related to the typical and atypical evolutionary paths.
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about low vision and blindness, on the diseases leading to low vision, on rehabilitation and optical and electronical aids for low vision.
Closer examination of the main theoretical models of developmental psychopathology.
- Explanation of nosographic classification systems concerning the psychological disorders in
childhood and adolescence.
-Description of attachment disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, disruptive behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety and depression disorders, eating disorders, addiction disorders, schizophrenia dorders, personality disorders, disorders related to traumatic experiences.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.
The assessment of competences will take place through an oral test. The oral exam consists of an individual interview, aimed at ascertaining the knowledge of the topics and contents of the program, identified in the topics covered by the lectures and with reference to the main texts adopted. The exam is passed if the student demonstrates sufficient ability to define and discuss the exam topics in a correct and organic way, using an appropriate language for the discipline, and sufficient ability to elaborate and integrate the acquired knowledge in order to understand critical issues related to the topics covered in the course.
