Learning Objectives
- APPLIED MEDICAL TECHNICAL SCIENCES
the course has the objective:
- to make the students know and acquire the skills, characteristics, insurgency, assessment tools and specific rehabilitation techniques for disorders of oral communication in the developmental age
- to make known and acquire the specific skills of classification, classification, assessment and enabling and rehabilitative strategies in communication disorders related to childhood deafness
- to make known and acquire the theoretical bases for the study, observation, evaluation and rehabilitative treatment of verbal fluency through specific technical skills and basic principles of functions related to fluency in preschool and school age and relative study of the characteristics fundamental principles of the main and current guidelines
Course Structure
- APPLIED MEDICAL TECHNICAL SCIENCES
- Definition and classification of Language and Communication Specific Disorders in developmental age: classification of the pathology, assessment tools and tests, specific rehabilitation techniques
- Classification, etiopathogenesis, assessment and speech therapy in developmental language disorders associated with genetic, congenital and acquired syndromes
- The late talker and the phonological disorder in the child: classification, evaluation and speech therapy rehabilitation
- the language disorders related to the semantic sphere, morphosyntactic and pragmatic lexical related evaluation and specific speech therapy rehabilitation
- Transmissive and neurosensory hearing loss in children. Development of perceptive and auditory abilities in children, auditory assessment in children; logopedic balance and related follow-up, habilitation and rehabilitation techniques in the hypoacusic child wearing hearing aids and cochlear implant
- verbal disfluencies: stuttering: classification, definition, onset, evolution, evaluation of the patient in preschool and school age and related protocols and diagnostic tests; current rehabilitation guidelines

- APPLIED MEDICAL TECHNICAL SCIENCES
- Presentation of the program and related study texts, diagnostic assessment and rehabilitative treatment of the specific language disorder
- The late talker, the phonological disorder and the verbal dysplasia: clinical classification, definition, evaluation and rehabilitation techniques
- developmental language disorders associated with congenital and acquired genetic syndromes. classification, classification, evaluation and rehabilitation intervention plan
- The transmissive and neurosensory hypoacusies: classification, evaluation, qualification and speech therapy rehabilitation; the child with a cochlear implant from selection to rehabilitation treatment
- Disfluencies: definition, onset, etiology, evaluation and current rehabilitation guidelines in preschool and school children
