Learning Objectives

• Anesthesiology
  

  The course aims to train the student on:

  - most common anesthetic techniques

  - principles of acute and chronic pain therapy

  - management of the main cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and environmental emergencies

  - principles of disaster medicine

  Furthermore, the course aims to teach the student the main resuscitation techniques (BLS, PBLS)

• General and emergency surgery
  

  To obtain basic knowledge on principal surgical emergency diseases: intestinal obstruction, peritonitis, gastrointestinal bleedings and abdominal trauma

• radiology
  

  provide students with the basic knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and their applications and clinical indications with particular reference to the professional field of their interest

• methodology and in critical rehabilitation techniques
  

  THE COURSE WILL ENABLE STUDENT TO ACQUIRE SKILL IN OSERVATION,EVALUATIONAS WELL THE METHODOLOGIES AND TECNIQUE USED IN THE CRITICAL AREA.

  Lectures, online teaching, practical internships, simulations

• General and emergency surgery
  

  Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus

  - general concepts on the main diagnostic techniques ;

  - fundamentals of RX, ECO, CT, MRI, NUCLEAR MEDICINE AND RADIOTHERAPY techniques and their main fields of clinical application;

  - clinical applications of imaging techniques to the musculoskeletal, CNS and SNPeripheral and Cardiovascular and Respiratory systems.

  Respiratory emergencies: airway obstruction, acute respiratory failure

  Neurological emergencies

  Routes of elective and emergency drug administration

  Disaster medicine

  Triage and maxi-emergencies

  Pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapy of acute and chronic pain

  Practical activities in simulation and in the operating room (BLS, PBLS)
