Learing the basic principles of fixed prosthesis on natural teeth and implants. In particular, all the most recent digital prosthetic methods present in the current international scene will be analyzed
The student must be able to distinguish the characteristics of health and oral pathologies and the risk conditions of patients in adult and pediatric age in the conservative and endodontic field. The aim is also to have the student acquire the ability to possess knowledge on dental prevention techniques and systems and to master their application. The student must acquire the theoretical knowledge, the common practical skills of restorative dentistry and endodontics.
At the end of the course, the student will be prepared to recognize, address and resolve simple and complex cases of conservative and endodontic and lengthening of the clinical crown. In particular, the student will be able to manage endodontic emergencies and their treatment; recognize and properly use the main instrumental preparation techniques; to recognize and properly use the substances used for root canal irrigation; learn about various methods of filling the endodontic space; managing endo-periodontal diseases; plan and organize simple endodontic surgery; coordinate an assistant in the chair for conducting Endodontics interventions. Furthermore, the student will be able to diagnose and restore all types of carious lesions using direct composite techniques. Finally, the student will be able to perform small periodontal surgery operations necessary to safeguard severely compromised dental elements.
Frontal teaching will be preferred with a theoretical part and practical exercises related to fixed prosthesis on natural tooth and implant If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote mode, the necessary changes may be introduced with respect to what was previously stated, in order to respect the program envisaged and reported in the syllabus.
Integrated theoretical and practical training based on a discussion of clinical cases and the topics dealt with in order to train students in a critical capacity on the topics and allow them to acquire suitable knowledge for the management of conservative dentistry and endodontics. Final oral exam.
Knowledge of odontostomatological sciences. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the oro-maxillofacial district. Specifically, knowledge of periodontology, prosthesis, conservative and endodontics.
