Learning Objectives

• MEDICINA D'URGENZA
  

  Accentuate the attention on methodological aspects of clinical reasoning in urgency - emergency, identifY the priorities to be addressed in the individual case, the request and interpretation of laboratory diagnostic tests, for images or instrumental

• Surgical Emergency
  

  The course of Surgical Emergency is aimed at knowledge of principals surgicals diseases.

• Anesthesiology and Intensive Care
  

  The course aims to train the student on:

  - most common anesthetic techniques

  - principles of acute and chronic pain therapy

  - management of the main cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and environmental emergencies

  - principles of disaster medicine

  Furthermore, the course aims to teach the student the main resuscitation techniques (BLS, PBLS, ACLS, PHTLS)

Detailed Course Content

  Emergency-urgency, Health emergency and operational centers: non-hospital phase and intra-hospital phase, First Aid, First evaluation of the injured patient, Chain of survival, Cardio respiratory arrest and CPR, BLS, BLSD, Traumatology, Physical agents diseases: burns - stroke sun - heat stroke - cold injury - emergency toxicology, emergency emergencies, FAST in the politraum, shock - syncope - lipotimia, EGA: alterations of acid-base and electrolyte balance, cardio-vascular emergencies: thoracic pain, acute coronary syndrome, acute pulmonary edema, acute pulmonary heart (insuf ventr dx), DVT and PE, non-traumatic vascular limb pain, hypertensive crisis, aortic dissection, bronchial asthma, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), principles of non-invasive mechanical ventilation, ultrasound in abdominal emergencies, acute vascular abdomen, acute abdomen due to intestinal obstruction, haemorrhages dig upper and lower summers, acute complications of liver cirrhosis, acute pancreatitis, cerebral stroke, clinic and nosographic classification of comas (I diabetic comas, hypoglycemic crisis, hepatic coma), EmoGAS, Guillan Barrè syndrome, nephrological emergencies (IRA) and urology ( renal colic), Emergencies in oncology (superior vena cava syndrome - CID-Hypercalcemia, etc.), Over dose and opiate and hallucinogenic withdrawal symptoms, Emergency toxicology, Elements of bioethics
