The course of General Psychology is divided into lectures and exercises. During the lectures will be provided updated knowledge on some of the main areas of investigation of general psychology and highlighted application areas. The course aims to deepen the emotions and their expression, the role of emotions in some eating disorders.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify approaches used to define nutritional needs for macro- and micronutrients; recognize associations between their deficiency and risk of non-communicable disease; utilize validated tools to calculate energy expenditure and basal metabolic rate both in physiological and pathological conditions; provide practical advice on healthy and balanced diet.
Individual and group exercises will aim to foster critical knowledge and independent reflection on the topics covered
