Learning Objectives

• Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  

  The aims of this course is to illustrate the musculoskeletal diseases (degenerative, autoimmune and traumatic). The principal goal is to illustrate the principles of functional rehabilitation and the enhancement of residual abilities through occupational therapy

• Occupational Therapy
  

  The main objective of the course is to outline the basic concepts of Occupational Therapy, in particular, the basic concepts of Occupational Therapy, in particular, those relating to the history of the profession, the theoretical foundations of occupational therapy, the professional role, professional ethics and models of professional practice. Furthermore, the basic principles of occupational therapy in the geriatric patient are outlined.

• Orthopaedics and Traumatology
  

  The aim is to provide the knowledge of the main musculoskeletal diseases of orthopedic and traumatology. The course provides knowledge regarding common orthopedic and traumatological diseases in physical and sports activities, related to their impact on the planning, organization, and management of motor activities, in relation to the various ages : from thepediatric age to the elderly.

• Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  

  Degenerative and traumatic diseases of the spine and rehabilitation; disorders of the musculoskeletal system; instrumental therapy and EBM; rheumatic disease and rehabilitation treatment; traumatic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system and rehabilitation treatment; functional assessment scales; self-training in in disabled people.   The course is based on the main orthopaedic and traumatologic disorders, highlighting: epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, imaging investigations, differential diagnosis, prognosis, complications, conservative and surgical treatment.
