The aims of this course is to illustrate the musculoskeletal diseases (degenerative, autoimmune and traumatic). The principal goal is to illustrate the principles of functional rehabilitation and the enhancement of residual abilities through occupational therapy
The main objective of the course is to outline the basic concepts of Occupational Therapy, in particular, the basic concepts of Occupational Therapy, in particular, those relating to the history of the profession, the theoretical foundations of occupational therapy, the professional role, professional ethics and models of professional practice. Furthermore, the basic principles of occupational therapy in the geriatric patient are outlined.
The aim is to provide the knowledge of the main musculoskeletal diseases of orthopedic and traumatology. The course provides knowledge regarding common orthopedic and traumatological diseases in physical and sports activities, related to their impact on the planning, organization, and management of motor activities, in relation to the various ages : from thepediatric age to the elderly.
Weekly frontal lessons with slides and videos. Attendance is mandatory.
