To provide the basic Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical knowhow used in Medicinal Chemistry
MODULE A (Prof. A. Marrazzo) - (6 CFU): the course includes 28 hours of classroom lectures and 35 hours of practical exercises in the laboratory.
MODULB B (Prof.ssa L. Pasquinucci) - (3 CFU): the course includes 10 hours of classroom lectures and 30 hours of practical exercises in the laboratory.
Classroom attendance is mandatory. The maximum limit of absences allowed is 30% of the total hours of lessons.
MODULE A (Prof. A. Marrazzo) - (6 CFU)
biotechnological and biomolecular methods for drug design and production. Manipulation of genic expression and production of recombinant protein in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Downstream processing of protein products. Therapeutic proteins. Citokines. Vaccines. Monoclonal antibodies. Oligonucleotides (ON): ON-medicinal Chemistry, pharmacokinetics and toxicology. Antisense technology, aptamers, decoy, anti-genes, ribozymes, RNA-interference, micro-RNA. Bioinformatics.
MODULO B (Prof.ssa L. Pasquinucci) - (3 CFU)
The disconnection approach. Synthesis of aromatic compounds. One-group C-X and C-C disconnections. Two-group C-X disconnections: 1,3-difunctionalised, 1,5-difunctionalised, 1,4-difunctionalised and 1,6-difunctionalised compounds.
