FRENCH LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATION 2

To develop communication skills using integrated methods corresponding to the levels B1/ B2 of the Common European Framework through the use of realia (paper, audio, video).

To introduce and to analyze the different types of text for a presentation of progressive specificity of the discourse; To introduce the main theories of translation for the development of an awareness of the practice of translation with the help of contrastive approaches.

The course is structured in two modules:

The first one includes: the development of the speaking and writing skills corresponding to the B1-B2 level of the European Reference Framework and the use of authentic documents (audio, video, realia);

The second one consists of the analysis of the different types of texts and the introduction to the main translating theories.

A (4 CFU) - Phonetics, morphosyntax, the study of the Main irregular verbs and regular verbs, Tutorials receptive and productive skills (written and oral) of different types in order to reach the B1/ B2 level .

B (2 CFU) - Considerations on translation: theories and practices through contrastive examples and exercises of graded difficulty.
